Corpus Christi architect, Johnny Cotten, has been active for several years on behalf of preserving Memorial Coliseum. In November 2009, he wrote an article for the Caller-Times entitled "Let citizens decide use of the building." His article can be read HERE

Dr. Monica Penick, an architectural historian and member if the faculty at University of Texas-Austin, wrote a letter to the Caller-Times in which she called Memorial Coliseum an "architecturally and culturally significant historic building." Dr. Penick's letter of January 12, 2010 can be read HERE
